CauseMachine has many places where images can be uploaded - content, events, groups, etc. We do our best to make sure that these images look good on both desktop and mobile, with it being driven from a single image. While there are no set guidelines on sizing for these images, we do have some general recommendations.
Try to use landscape instead of portrait images where the primary focus and content of the image is centered with space around the center to account for any automatic cropping the site does to fit the image in the container, on both desktop and mobile.
Avoid uploading images with borders included in them - this is due to how the site handles resizing and positioning of images based on screen/device size.
Lastly, we recommend looking at the final product on your desktop and on your mobile to ensure you have achieved what you are setting out to highlight with your image.
