Linking Membership Tier to MailChimp Drip Campaign

We believe it's important to welcome and engage your new members well.  You can do this by creating custom landing pages, key calls to action, and specific email drip campaigns following their membership creation.  Cause Machine has a native integration with MailChimp to help trigger the launch of an email campaign upon the action of creating an account.  

Step 1: Connect MailChimp to Cause Machine

You first need to connect your Cause Machine account to your MailChimp account.  You can connect this under Settings / Integrations / MailChimp.  Sign into both account prior to connecting.  The process is simple and quick.

Step 2: Set up Campaign Group in MailChimp

MailChimp allows you to create list groups and create automated campaigns for those groups.  You will need to set up a group prior to connecting this group to a Cause Machine membership tier.  MailChimp has excellent support documentation for setting up groups here.

Step 3: Link MailChimp Campaign to Cause Machine Membership Tier

Once you have connected accounts and created a group in MailChimp you can now connect that group to a membership tier.  Go to any of your membership tiers and go to the bottom of the page.  There will be an optional MailChimp Integration area where you can select the radio box and then select from the drop down the MailChimp group you are connecting this membership tier to (this is why you must first create your MailChimp group).  Click save and you're all done.
