Cause Machine makes it simple to manage refunds. In order to get started, first find the financial/payments area of transaction (events, products, courses, etc.). Locate the specific order and then begin the refund process.
Below is an example from an event confirmation page. The confirmation page has an Issue Refund button in the bottom right and an Actions drop down with the same feature.
Next you are guided to a screen to select the amount (you can choose a full or partial refund) and input a comment. Once you are ready, select the Issue Refund button to complete the refund. An email will be sent immediately to the individual. Refunds may take up to three days to process back to the individual's credit card.
Please Note: Issuing a refund DOES NOT cancel the ticket (like in this example). Cancelling a ticket is a separate process as you may wish to fully refund someone while still allowing them to keep their ticket.
