Event check-in is a simple process with Cause Machine. You can manage this by either scanning the QR ticket code (from a printed receipt or digital receipt) or manually note an individual has arrived.
Check-In Admin Permission
First you need to add the person managing onsite check-in as an admin with that permission. Go to your Admins for your event and select that setting (if the person is already an admin) or add them as an admin and give them that permission.
Most organizations will use a QR code scanning app or their phone's camera on their mobile device to scan the QR code and allow the system to mark the individual as checked in. When you scan the QR code on your mobile device it will open a browser and show the details for that attendee along with a confirmation that they were checked in successfully.
Note: The person scanning in the attendee will need to be logged into their community account and have admin access for Check-In.

Any QR code scanner that can open URLs will work, but these are apps that we have found that work well.

You can also manually check someone in by going to the Registrants page, locating the individual, selecting the Actions button, and selecting the "Check-In" option. Attendees who check in will be noted with a checkmark next to their name.
