Introduction

Cause Machine generates tickets for attendees to make onsite check in a simpler process and to better manage those who have checked in to your event.

Enabling Tickets

To enable tickets for various registration types go to any one of your registration tiers and select "Send a printable ticket to attendees".  This will automatically send each registrant a printable ticket immediately upon their registration.

Admin Management Access

As an admin, you have access to each registrants ticket from the Attendee Management tools under Attendee Registrations.  Look for a specific event attendee and then the Action drop down to find the Print Ticket option.

Ticket Design

Below is an example ticket.  Each ticket will have your event logo, registrant's name, event data and location, confirmation number, and who ordered the ticket and date of purchase.  The ticket also has a QR code that enables the check-in process.  This QR code will trigger the Cause Machine system to note this particular member as checked in once scanned.  Most QR code scanning apps should open a browser with the URL.

NOTE: the person scanning the URL will need to be logged in and have "Check-In" permission for that event.

Attendee Access to Tickets

Each registrant can access their ticket either from their email confirmation OR from the confirmation page of their registration process.

Admin Access to Check-In

Make certain to enable admin access to individuals you want having the ability to run/manage onsite check-in.  This is required to manage onsite check-in and scan QR code tickets.

Scanner App

You will need some type of scanner app (on your phone) to manage onsite check-in and the scanning of registrant tickets.  One of these can be found at the Apple Store or Android Store.
