If you are experiencing troubles with your text not changing sizes when creating content, this is likely caused by the custom styling used for the text - it overrides the text editor setup.
When you click on the code this is what you see:
But if you copy just the article text and paste it in a different content text area
It shows up with default text editor styling, and font sizes can be change.
So, to change the font size while keeping the current styling, you will have to do it by editing the code.
